Canon PowerShot SX 110 IS

Canon has, today, announced a replacement for the popular ultra zoom PowerShot SX 100 IS digital camera. Main improvements over the previous version include a higher resolution image sensor, a slimmer body and a 3.0” LCD.

Trying out Skype 4.0 Beta.

A low cost wind turbine for the developing world.

A wind turbine, from 100% recycled material, has been created by a product design student at the University of Portsmouth. Aimed at the developing countries, the turbine can be built by unskilled workers in less than a day.

The Burj Dubai Tower is about to be completed.

Work on the world’s tallest tower, in Dubai, is about to be completed. The height of the building at its tallest point is 818 metres and the top roof is at 636 metres. The building has 160 habitable floors with a total floor area of 334,000 square metres.

Juices and medicines do not like each other !

It is known that grapefruit juice can increase the absorption of certain drugs — with the potential for turning normal doses into toxic overdoses. The scientist who discovered this interaction has evidence that other juices such as orange and apple can diminish the absorption of medicines and even wipe out their sought out effects.
