Ericsson unveils a 500 Mbps broadband over copper!

Based on Vectorized VDSL2 technology, the broadband line showed by Ericsson can reach speeds of 500 Mbps using six copper lines over 500 meters. The speed is 20 times faster that the ADSL2+ that is widely used for internet connection.

Flash memory with extended write / erase cycles.

The collaboration between Sun and Micron has resulted in the extension of the flash memory life allowing one million write / erase cycles, a figure higher than what is offered by other NAND technologies.

A 12.25 Megapixel sensor for mobile phone cameras.

Sony has introduced a 12.25 megapixel sensor to be used on mobile phone cameras from early next year. The sensor is based on CMOS technology and has a optical size of 1/2.5 inch.
