Defrag your hard drive.

Posted by F. S. KAMAL on December 10th, 2008

The daily use of your computer causes the fragments of the files on your hard drives to be randomly displaced which, in the long run, slows your system because Windows needs to recompose the file from various fragments before it can be processed.

Regular defragmentation of your hard drive can speed up your computer’s performance as all the fragments of your files will be arranged contiguously thus reducing the disk accessing time.

Defraggler is a free tool that allows to defrag the whole drive, like many other tools, but it also gives you the power to defrag selected individual files and folders.

The tool doesn’t need installation as it is contained  in a single EXE file which can also be run from a flash drive.

It is compatible with Windows 2000 up to Windows Vista, including its 64-bit version. NTFS and FAT32 files systems are both supported.

Download and give it a try.
