Nokia has announced the introduction of the model 6260 Slide aimed at social network users. Beside normal phone calls, the handset can also be used to share photographs and videos, keep an eye on a friend’s social network status or be guided to a restaurant.

Qualcomm has announced Kayak, its offering to the developing world for surfing the Internet without using a computer. The device, which has the form of a “box” with an antenna on the top, connects to 3G wireless broadband and uses normal TV sets, or PC monitors, for displaying web sites.

Velocity Mobile, a nine month collaboration between, Inventec Corporation, one of the world’s largest notebook computer manufacturers and a team of veteran wireless designers and engineers, has announced the retail availability of its first touch screen phone, the Velocity 103.

An iphone owner from England published photos found on his brand new smartphone showing a young woman assembling iPhones in Apple’s Chinese factory. Though it is believed the images were mistakenly forgotten in the device, the news made a lot of noise in the blogosphere.

The Samsung Innov8 (innovate) smartphone is to be introduced in august 2008 and is touted by the blogosphere as the ultimate entertainment smartphone. The specifications are impressive. This is definitely a phone that I would like to own. What about you ?
