BYD, a company mostly known for supplying batteries to the mobile phone makers, has recently acquired vehicles manufacturing plants thus becoming China’s youngest automaker. They are also the first to launch China’s first mass produced hybrid electric car, the BYD F3DM.

From 1644 until 1912, the end of the Imperial period in China, the Forbidden City in Beijing, a magnificent palace, has been home to the Chinese emperor from the QIng dynasty. The Forbidden City was created to embody the idea of the emperor as the center of the universe, and to evoke a visceral sense of his power.

A manufacturer of paper, based in Urumqi, has found an economical way to make paper from stones. The company presented a sample of the product on Monday in Urumqi, capital of the autonomous region of Xinjiang.
