Canon has launched, today, an upgraded version of the Canon EOS 40D SLR camera. Improvements include a 15 megapixel CMOS sensor, a new and faster Digic 4 image processor, a 3.0” LCD screen with VGA resolution and live view, the ISO sensitivity goes up to 12800 !

Canon has, today, announced a replacement for the popular ultra zoom PowerShot SX 100 IS digital camera. Main improvements over the previous version include a higher resolution image sensor, a slimmer body and a 3.0” LCD.

A store in Japan, Plaza Create Co., has launched a recyclable digital camera, named Eco Digi Mode, that comes in two versions, one with an internal memory with a capacity of 27 shots and the other one with a capacity of 50 shots.

A first in the DSLR territory, Tamron has announced a 15x zoom lens, with image stabilization technology, that is surely going to heat up the pressure of low cost digital single lens reflex cameras against the popular bridge cameras segment.
