Canon PowerShot SX1 IS and SX10 IS.

This is certainly the most anticipated camera replacement since last year. Canon has announced a pair as a replacement to the very popular Canon PowerShot S5 IS. Both cameras feature 28-560mm, 20x zoom lenses with image stabilizer and powerful DIGIC IV processors. It seems the PowerShot SX1 IS will not be available in the US market.

Canon has announced the successor to the popular Canon G9 digital camera. The PowerShot G10 features a 14.7 Megapixel sensor and is the first G-series camera to offer wide-angle imaging via a 5x (28mm) zoom with optical Image Stabilizer.

A store in Japan, Plaza Create Co., has launched a recyclable digital camera, named Eco Digi Mode, that comes in two versions, one with an internal memory with a capacity of 27 shots and the other one with a capacity of 50 shots.
