Defrag your hard drive.

The daily use of your computer causes the fragments of the files on your hard drives to be randomly displaced which, in the long run, slows your system because Windows needs to recompose the file from various fragments before it can be processed.

Samsung NC10 Netbook.

The recent wave of mini notebook announcements is a confirmation that Asus had a clear of vision when they decided to introduce the Asus Eeee PC, a small portable computer with enough power to let it do what we ask our powerful computers to do on a regular basis: produce office documents, browse the web, take care of our messaging needs and basic multimedia. Now it’s Samsung’s turn to announce their Netbook: the NC10.

100 tools to bail you out.

If you take the smooth booting of your computer for granted, then  just keep in mind that sometimes things may go wrong and it can refuse to start causing you to scratch your head and search for a computer geek to help you.

Before you do so, prepare yourself by downloading The Ultimate Boot CD, a collection of around 100 tools and utilities. The package is provided as an iso file that you have to burn to make a bootable CD.

Manage your partitions for free !

Easeus Partition Manager is a free, for personal use, hard disk partition utility that allows to create, format, resize, label, hide, un-hide and move partitions. The software lets you preview the changes before applying them. Like the highly regarded Norton’s Partition Magic, it does the job without destroying the data already on the disk and is compatible with Windows XP and Windows 2000 SP4.
