Fish living at the depth of 7.7km in the Pacific Ocean.

At team of UK and Japanese scientists has been able to record on camera a species of fish known as Pseudoliparis  amblystomopsis at the Hadal zone - the area of ocean that sits between 6,000 and 11,000m.

A low cost wind turbine for the developing world.

A wind turbine, from 100% recycled material, has been created by a product design student at the University of Portsmouth. Aimed at the developing countries, the turbine can be built by unskilled workers in less than a day.

Juices and medicines do not like each other !

It is known that grapefruit juice can increase the absorption of certain drugs — with the potential for turning normal doses into toxic overdoses. The scientist who discovered this interaction has evidence that other juices such as orange and apple can diminish the absorption of medicines and even wipe out their sought out effects.

It’s not fiction. Scientists from the University of Texas Medical School said that they will soon be able to alter enzymes responsible for flavours in fruits and vegetables.
