Samsung has announced a very slim (13.8 mm) Smartphone that combines the eight megapixel camera of the recently launched Samsung i8510 Innov8 and the full touch screen features of the Samsung Omnia i900.
The M8800 Pixon features a 3.2 inch screen, an eight megapixel camera with
autofocus, image stabilizer, faces and smiles detections, flash led, digital zoom and geo-tagging. It is equipped with an accelerator meter that switches the display depending on how you hold the handset.
The M8800 Pixon keeps you connected to online services through the support of RSS feeds.
With a display resolution of 720×480, The Samsung Pixon allows you to comfortably view various movie formats: MPEG4, WMV and DiVX while it’s music player features an FM radio with RDS and supports MP3, AAC, AAC+ and WMA audio files.
The handset is designed for high speed connectivity with the support of 3G + (HSDPA). It also connects to Bluetooth devices. One wonders why Samsung abandoned the Wi-Fi!
The M8800 Pixon has a MicroSD port and ships with 1GB card to get you started your multimedia adventures.
Samsung is silent on the OS that powers the smartphone: Windows Mobile or Symbian ?
